The Committee recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis and in entirety the draft resolution on Ukraine’s recognition of jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court in regard to committing crimes against humanity that led to especially heavy consequences, premeditated and preplanned mass murder of citizens in especially brutal and cynic manner during peaceful actions in the city of Odesa on May 2, 2014, and in regard to all guilty of committing these crimes, requesting the International Criminal Court to bring them to justice.

It was noted that the bill (Reg. No. 4890) was elaborated in order to secure independent investigation and punishment of persons guilty of committing crimes against humanity during peaceful actions in the Ukrainian city of Odesa on May 2, 2014.

Committee members stressed that the bill stipulates recognition of jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court re crimes against humanity committed on the territory of Ukraine in the city of Odesa on May 2, 2014, and establish legal and organizational basis for bringing those guilty to criminal responsibility by the International Criminal Court in Hague. 

In the course of discussion, Committee members proposed new versions of clause 4, 5 and 6.
